Assessment

     Dr. King has over 30 years of experience in psychological assessment, including administering and interpreting psychological tests.  In addition to traditional intelligence, achievement, personality, and, projective tests, he uses newer actuarial computerized assessments. 

     Assessment helps with the diagnosis of learning problems, ADD and ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress, impaired reality testing, developmental disorders, and behavior problems.

     Dr. King's assessments provide valuable information for therapy, school issues, forensic cases, and medical problems.  In addition to written reports, he meets with families and professionals to review and explain findings.

     Following a referral, a patient/client is seen in a private office for a brief screening by Dr. King, followed by an individualized traditional or objective actuarial computerized assessment.  The evaluation is scored and printed immediately with a report faxed to the referring professional within 24 hours.  Follow-up consultations with recommendations to the referring professional and/or the patient/family are also important parts of the services.
